The Hall of the Main Building of the University of Debrecen was filled to capacity on the first day of the enrollment event, DExpo. Hundreds of high school students, future university students, parents, and teachers listened to the information about the institution, the training offers, and changes to admission and student life at the opening on Wednesday.

The University of Debrecen has recently organized the scholarly-scientific conference of its colleges for advanced studies for the fourth time. At the event held in Debrecen Academic Committee Headquarters on Tuesday, students from seven disciplines gave account of their latest findings in as many as five different sections. The speakers delivering English and Hungarian presentations represented the colleges for advanced studies active in our institution and at Partium Christian University.
The UniPass card management system of UD is unique in Hungary. It has been part of the everyday life of university citizens for nearly ten years. Card holders can use the services of over 50 partners, and the number of card-accepting places is increasing.
The University of Debrecen and Sunway University, one of the best private universities in South-East Asia, signed a partnership agreement on Friday. Abdukodir Toshkulov, the Minister in charge of higher education of Uzbekistan and Szilvássy Zoltán, rector performed negotiations on Saturday about the educational, research and innovation cooperation with the University of Debrecen. The Minister asked the University to take part in the work of the emerging Uzbek scientific and technological cluster.
A Tudományos és Társadalmi Tanácsadó Testület [Scientific and Social Advisory Board] of fifty-seven members supporting the work of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Count István Tisza Foundation for the University of Debrecen (GTIDEA), which operates and maintains the University of Debrecen, has been established. Students from more than one hundred countries will be marching on stage carrying their national flags at the unique stadium show of the University of Debrecen, yoUDay. The point is that, this time, we wish to put bigger emphasis on cooperation, partnership and solidarity than ever before. Tens of thousands of eager spectators are expected to fill Nagyerdei Stadium for the event again this year. Ticket sales have already begun.
