Sports Diagnostics, Lifestyle and Therapy Center of the University of Debrecen (Debreceni Egyetem Sportdiagnosztikai, Életmód és Terápiás Központja – SET) has received a major recognition after the recent opening of the physiotherapy and physiotherapeutic complex of the BMW Group Factory in Debrecen’s health center. The facility will support the rehabilitation of employees.

Complying with the pandemic-related rules, and with the number of visitors optimised, the fitness centre of UD awaits students who need to attend PE classes and those who just want to do some physical exercise. A simple negative air pressure system has also been installed in the facility.
Before the appearance of the corona virus the only exercise that the majority of office workers got was getting to work and back home. Many of those who work from home now get even less exercise. It is mainly these people that the Sports Medicine Clinic of the UD is trying to help.
An excellent player of the women’s handball team of DVSC, Ms. Petra Tóvizi, will be participating in the qualification rounds of the Olympic games as a student. At the same time, László Balogh, sport scientist at the UD, will be taking care of the mental preparation of the women’s handball team.
The experts of the University of Debrecen (UD) dealing with sports sciences will await visitors with the assessment of their locomotor systems, presentations on exercise physiology, and preventive kinematic sessions at the next FőnixFitt.
