This year, the University of Debrecen hosted the annual meeting of specialists in Dutch studies from Hungary. The conference, which was held on Friday, October 2, at the headquarters of the Debrecen Academic Committee, focused primarily on the teaching of the Dutch language in secondary and higher education.

An international conference of historians titled “Towns in Transition in a Changing World — Central European Towns in the Early Modern Period” was held on September 17–18 by the Institute of History at the Faculty of Humanities (BTK) and the Déri Museum. At the academic conference—which drew participants from six countries—Professor Roman Czaja, an honorary doctorate recipient of the university, as well as several other faculty members from the University of Debrecen, delivered presentations.
European Conference on Educational Research (ECER), which was hosted this year in Tampere, Finland, has officially ended. This latest event drew 3,619 participants from as many as 82 different countries, including 51 from Hungary. During the course of the closing ceremony, it was announced that the University of Debrecen would act as the host for the next professional gathering in August 2027.

The three-day conference opened on Wednesday, August 26, at the Learning Center.

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), ranked 7th in the QS World University Rankings for Education and Training, hosted an international conference between July 28 and 31 with the participation of researchers from more than twenty different countries. Specialists from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen presented their latest research findings in the field of pediatric gynecology at the world congress for the specialty held in the United States. Their presentations at the international conference focused on modern treatment options for complex developmental anomalies where surgical solutions previously seemed impossible. The innovative procedures presented may open new horizons in the care of rare and severe gynecological developmental anomalies.
