Researchers at the University of Debrecen have succeeded in transforming extremely thin films of metal into a special alloy. The article on the new discovery and its relevant research background has been published in one of the top ten periodicals on materials science, Progress in Materials Science.

The 2018 Academic Ranking of World Universities has been released. This is the first time the University of Debrecen has made its first ever appearance on the list as one of the best 1000 universities. The Chinese University focuses on the dissemination of scientific results.

This year’s one-month summer course of Debrecen Summer School, where almost 200 students studied the Hungarian language and simultaneously immersed into Hungarian culture, is over. The participants came from as many as 37 different countries, and the largest contingent was from China this time.
