Arieh Warshel, a worlwide-renowned biochemist, has been the first to win the University of Debrecen Science Impact Award (uDEsia) of UD. The Nobel Prize laureate researcher received the award from rector Zoltán Szilvássy on 29 March.

The Department of Ecology and one of the Lendület Working Groups of UD have published two studies regarding the analysis of the re-settlement processes of lawn in Scientific Reports, which belongs to the renowned Nature Publishing Group.
