During the two-week program, six Hungarian and three Syrian PhD students from the Faculty of Pharmacy (GYTK), University of Debrecen (DE), were given a comprehensive overview of the Chinese institution’s educational and research activities. The guests attended lectures and seminars where various local research groups presented their fields of expertise, current research directions, and results. These events provided an opportunity for professional dialogue and for laying the foundations of shared scientific thinking. The students from Debrecen gave two presentations on the programs and research at DE GYTK.
- At China Pharmaceutical University, a key component of the program was a visit to the research laboratories, during which students viewed the state-of-the-art equipment and gained insight into the research being conducted there. This helped identify potential areas for collaboration- explained Ildikó Bácskay, dean of DE GYTK.
The dean noted that the students also learned about the fundamentals of traditional Chinese medicine, which opened up new perspectives for them in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and further strengthened the integration of cultural and professional experience.
- Personal meetings, professional consultations, and joint programs have significantly contributed to strengthening the relationship between the University of Debrecen and China Pharmaceutical University. The foundations for cooperation have grown in strength, upon which future joint research projects, scientific publications, and further student mobility programs can be built- added Ildikó Bácskay.
