The freshers of the University of Debrecen have been the first to see the clip of the song shot for the unique semester opening stadium show called yoUDay. The joint video clip featuring the band Animal Cannibals and singer Andi Tóth is now accessible on the university’s youtube channel.

Tickets are already available for yoUDay, the unique and exclusive commencement and opening ceremony of the academic year at the University of Debrecen. . A crowd of as many as 25 thousand spectators would be expected to attend the event opening the 2018 fall semester on September 26, 2018.

The Zoltán Kodály World Youth Orchestra enjoyed great success at their debut concert in Debrecen. The International Summer Academy of Young Musicians, the traditional summer event of the Music School of the University of Debrecen, was ended with the Tuesday evening concert.

A rich and versatile program of activities, the likes of which have never been seen before, was offered by the University of Debrecen at Campus Festival. There were also concerts, interesting talk shows, and stand-up comedians performing at the festival site called University Square.

At the opening concert of the International Summer Academy of Young Musicians, Tamás Vásáry talked about the milestones in his career and recited compositions linked to those events. The pianist starts work with the Zoltán Kodály Youth World Orchestra this week.

Right now, the University of Debrecen is in a state of busy preparation for the Campus Fesztivál, complete with a new location and a crowd of first-timers. This year, there will be a variety of new stands installed for the attention of those with a thirst also for academic knowledge at Egyetem Tér.

Young Musicians’ Summer Academy is to start with a special concert in Debrecen’s Nagytemplom on July 15. Young talents from as many as 22 countries from all over the world will be arriving at the traditional 10-day summer course offered by Faculty of Music of the University of Debrecen.

As a resurrection of an almost hundred-year-old tradition, the Department of Italian Studies of the University of Debrecen re-establishes the Monti Circle of Friends of Italy in order to strengthen the presence of Italian culture in Debrecen and to facilitate education and scientific work.
