A total of ninety-three students have completed their studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Debrecen recently in the undergraduate program of medical diagnostic analysis and in the master’s programs of health psychology, clinical laboratory research and molecular biology. The graduates received their diplomas at the faculty’s end-of-the-academic-year ceremony on Saturday.

At the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Debrecen, more than five hundred graduating students received their diplomas. From this point on, they will be able to work in the future in a variety of fields as bio-informaticians, rehabilitation specialists, social workers and physiotherapists. In addition to handing out the diplomas at the graduation ceremony, the faculty representatives also recognized, honored and awarded the most outstanding students, lecturers and employees of the faculty.
Students of architecture from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Debrecen achieved outstanding results at an international student design competition named CASA. Three of the ten best entries selected by the international jury at this prestigious competition were prepared by Debrecen students.
A total of ninety graduates received their diplomas at the ceremony held by the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Debrecen in the Inner Courtyard of the Main Building on Wednesday. Honors and recognitions awarded by the faculty and its student self-government were also presented at the event.
Nicolas Rubio, the agricultural counselor of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), gave a talk on the processes of the global agricultural market, the development of economic relations between the European Union and the United States, and the most important trends in EU-US agricultural trade at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management of the University of Debrecen. His visit offered yet another opportunity to strengthen educational, research and innovation relations between the University of Debrecen and its partners in the United States.
The Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Debrecen is organizing a competition open to all students of the university with the aim of identifying student ideas and developments related to artificial intelligence, discovering talented teams, supporting students in gaining professional experience, and showcasing existing AI solutions. The competition, titled DEIK.AI Challenge 2026, is supported by the Innovation Ecosystem Center.
Doctor of Pharmacy graduates were honored at Saturday’s commencement ceremony at the Faculty of Pharmacy (GYTK), University of Debrecen. At the ceremony held in the Main Building’s Ceremonial Courtyard, 75 graduates received their diplomas certifying the successful completion of their studies. A total of 16 different honors and awards were also presented.
More than 400 students from the University of Debrecen’s Faculty of Political Science and Law received their diplomas on Saturday during two ceremonies. In the Ceremonial Courtyard of the university’s Main Building, nearly 100 students received their diplomas certifying their degree in law, while 20 students graduated from the master’s program in European and International Business Law.
During the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, more than 550 students at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Debrecen fulfilled the requirements for graduation and received their diplomas on Friday in the Ceremonial Courtyard of the university’s Main Building. At the ceremonial faculty meeting, Dean Veronika Fenyves announced that the faculty’s program portfolio will be expanded with a new master’s degree program.
Altogether, a total of 350 Hungarian and international students earned their degrees at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Debrecen in the spring semester. In an address delivered at the graduation ceremony on Thursday, Dean András Hajdu underlined that, in a world full of challenges and shaped by artificial intelligence, the knowledge that the young professionals who graduate from the faculty have obtained is going to be needed more than ever
