László Mátyus, Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine at the University of Debrecen, has been re-elected to the Board of the European Biophysical Societies Association (EBSA). The professor has been active in the organisation for more than two decades. Its main objectives are to improve biophysical research, promote education and support young researchers.

The issues discussed at the meeting held in the Rector's Office of the University of Debrecen on Tuesday included points of connection between the health care systems of the University of Debrecen and the University of Tibet, the possibilities of future cooperation and the organization of emergency and cardiovascular care. The Tibetan delegation was received by Zoltán Szabó, Vice Rector and President of the Clinical Centre and Okszána Kiszil, Director of Coordination and Strategy.
Professor László Csernoch, Deputy Rector of the University of Debrecen and Director of the Institute of Physiology of the Faculty of General Medicine, was elected as member of the Executive Board of the Federation of European Physiological Societies (FEPS) at its September meeting in Tallinn.
As many as 159 graduating students of the Faculty of Medicine took their Hippocratic Oath on Saturday at a ceremony held within our university's Inner Courtyard. At the ceremonial council meeting of the doctoral ceremony, 90 Hungarian and 69 foreign doctors received their diplomas.

The manufacturing company has asked the Emergency Clinic to be a reference center for resuscitation in Eastern Europe. In addition to patient care, the device also supports teaching and research work.
Young obstetrician-gynecology specialists from the University of Debrecen have successfully participated in an international laparoscopic suturing contest. In the professional program called Winners Meeting, the team from Debrecen has finished second.
Zoltán Mészár, lecturer of the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology of the Faculty of Medicine won first prize as a member of an international team in the NeurotechEU Hackathon competition in Stockholm. Their task was to find innovative solutions to a problem of young people suffering from mental illnesses.
On May 24-26, 2023, the #CARPE2023 international scientific traveling conference was hosted by Glasgow, Scotland. The University of Debrecen was represented at the conference by a delegation of twenty, led by László Csernoch, vice-rector for science.
