The University of Debrecen has kept its last year’s position in the recently published list of Times Higher Education, which ranks the universities of the emerging economies. The ranking was released on Tuesday evening.

The University of Debrecen has moved forward from the 35th to the 31st position in the Quacquarelli Symonds world rankings. The most recent list of universities in European and Central Asian countries under the title Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) was published this past Wednesday.

University of Debrecen has obtained higher points than last year and maintained its position in the Times Higher Education 2019 ranking list. The university has improved in the categories of international activities, research income, research quality and learning environment.

The 2018 Academic Ranking of World Universities has been released. This is the first time the University of Debrecen has made its first ever appearance on the list as one of the best 1000 universities. The Chinese University focuses on the dissemination of scientific results.

The Universiy of Debrecen has further strengthened its position in the Quacquarelli Symonds world university rankings 2019, standing at the second position among Hungarian universities, overtaking even ELTE. The list was published late Wednesday night.

The University of Debrecen is featured again in the annual list of institutions of higher education prepared by Times Higher Education (THE), compiled on the basis of performance indicators, such as the quality of education and research activities.

The University of Debrecen has made it to the 2018 world list of higher education institutions published by Round University Ranking (RUR). Out of the evaluated areas, the UD achieved its best result in the category of international diversity.

The University of Debrecen ranks third among Hungarian universities and 658th among the 2500 best universities of the world in the recent university ranking made by URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance).

Times Higher Education, which released its latest thematic rankings on November 8th, ranked the medical program offered at the University of Debrecen among the best programs available in the world. The programs in medicine and health sciences are ranked in the top 401-500 category.

The University of Debrecen is the leading Hungarian institution of higher education in the category of the proportion of international students. Our institution has managed to retain its former favorable position in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) world rankings, released for 2018.
