Training programmes at pharmaceutical facilities, a laboratory suitable for making cosmetics, information about new nanotechnological processes and biotechnological medicines – the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Debrecen offers students complex and practice-oriented education.

The Faculty of Humanities, one of the most prestigious faculties of UD, awaits students with a wide variety of academic programmes and premium services, including talent management programmes, internship programmes, language courses, as well as sports and cultural programmes.

Fully-equipped computer rooms and research labs, as well as cutting-edge multimedia equipment await students at the Faculty of Informatics of UD, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. The academic programmes were revised last year, apparently successfully.

The Hungarian-Chinese relations may expand, owing to the visit of the delegation of the Beijing International Studies University (BISU).

38 Chinese students from the University of International Studies in Beijing have started a 1-year programme studying Hungarian at the Faculty of Humanities of UD.

With the foreign students coming to study at the University of Debrecen now, the number of first years continues to rise. After last years’ 1690, this year, 1925 students have chosen one of the university’s programmes offered in English.

The University of Debrecen has maintained its leading position among Hungarian higher education institutions. In 2018 the number of applicants wishing to study at the UD has grown to an extent exceeding the national average. The only institution finishing ahead of the UD is Eötvös Lóránd University.

In the framework of the International Particle Physics Student Workshop 60 students learned about the research programmes of CERN and the basics of particle physics at the Institute of Physics of the University of Debrecen.

The preparation of the instructors has started for the English-language professional pilot training programme of the University of Debrecen, expected to be launched in the 2017/2018 academic year.
