The leaders of the University of Debrecen and the Chinese Jilin Normal University have signed a cooperation agreement which covers various fields including teacher training and engineer training.

Topical legal issues were discussed at the international conference held jointly for the eighth time by Debreceni Egyetem Állam- és Jogtudományi Kar [Faculty of Law of the University of Debrecen] (DE ÁJK) and Kiev University of Law.

Universities in China, whose representatives paid an official visit to our institution, would be keen to figure out details concerning the English-language programs offered at the University of Debrecen in the fields of science and technology, information science, agriculture, economy, and music.

Members of a delegation from China, who have visited the University of Debrecen recently, would be very much interested to find out about the details of student and staff mobility as well as participation possibilities in English-language doctoral programs at UD.

Multicultural cookie corner, information stands and presentations awaited interested participants at the event jointly organised by the University of Debrecen and Tempus Public Foundation. Erasmus, Europe’s largest student exchange programmes is 30 years old this year.

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation, H.E. Isabelle Poupart, the Ambassador of Canada to Hungary, welcomed the participants of a symposium held in the Canadian Studies Center of the Institute of English and American Studies at UD.

During the course of their tour of Hungary, students from Josai International University also paid a visit to the University of Debrecen, where they met international students from Japan and took a class of Hungarian at our Nyári Egyetem [Debrecen Summer School].

Members of a prestigious delegation arriving from the distant country learnt about the educational programme offering of the university, as well as the scholarship opportunities provided by Stipendium Hungaricum, and also met South African students studying here at the University of Debrecen.

Expanding the cooperation in the fields of academic and research activities was also among the topics discussed at a meeting between the representatives of National Medical University of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, and the University of Debrecen.

A delegation from the Nigerian Ministry of Education have visited our university to meet Nigerian students who spend some time in Debrecen with support from the scholarship Stipendium Hungaricum, and the members of the delegation also had an appointment on Tuesday with Vice Rector Elek Bartha.
