The 2026 Neuroinnovation Summit and the 11th NeurotechEU General Assembly was held as a two-day meeting in the Swedish capital city. The University of Debrecen was represented by a five-member delegation at this event hosted by Karolinska Institutet. The most significant message of the meeting for the University of Debrecen was the unanimous support of the founding partners and the rectors for the institution’s strategic role and its full reintegration in the future.

An English-language Facebook page named Humaniora has been launched to promote news and events related to the study of the humanities at the University of Debrecen (UD). The objective of Humaniora is to present our institution’s educational and scholarly achievements to as broad an audience abroad as possible, thereby increasing the development of international relationships at the student, faculty, researcher and academic levels alike.
Recent developments in ancient Greek and Roman epigraphy and papyrology were in the focus of a two-day international conference on epigraphy, held on May 7 and 8, 2026, by the Department of Classical Philology and Ancient History at the Institute of History, Faculty of Humanities (BTK) of the University of Debrecen (UD). A cooperation agreement was signed on Thursday, March 26, by the leaders of the University of Debrecen and those of the Education University of Hong Kong in order to launch faculty and student exchanges as well as joint research projects in the future. The significance of this agreement is also indicated by the fact that UD is the first Hungarian university with which the institution located in the Far East has signed such an agreement on the basis of successful preliminary negotiations.
A delegation of agricultural experts from the University of Debrecen has recently paid a series of professional visits to partners in the United States with the aim of strengthening international educational and research collaborations and further developing our already existing partnerships.
