A commemorative plaque was unveiled at the Institute of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy at the University of Debrecen in honour of Professor Madhaw Singh Baghel, an internationally respected scholar of Indian Ayurvedic medicine and the founding Chairperson of the University of Debrecen's Ayurveda Chair. The ceremonial event on Tuesday was attended by His Excellency Anshuman Gaur, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Hungary. Afterwards, the Ambassador and his delegation met with university and faculty leaders to discuss future cooperation opportunities.

A dual degree that is unique in Europe may be earned by the four Hungarian students who have been the first to win scholarships for a program run in cooperation between the University of Debrecen and South Dakota State University (SDSU) in the United States. These selected students from the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Science and Environmental Management, who will study at South Dakota State University for two semesters as part of their precision agricultural engineering training, will be leaving for the overseas institution on Wednesday.
Pharmapolis Debrecen Innovative Pharmaceutical Cluster has held a general assembly meeting. There were 27 member organizations present at the event held at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Debrecen, where these members formulated new objectives and re-elected the management.

Rector Zoltán Szilvássy has awarded a two-year research scholarship to the three foreign students who represented the University of Debrecen at this year's Hackatom world competition in nuclear medicine.
