A delegation from East China University of Technology has discussed the possibility of launching joint programs at the University of Debrecen. President Luo Xianping and his colleagues discussed the preparations with the leaders of our university and Coordinating Center for International Education, following which they also visited the two faculties involved.

The Faculty of Informatics of the University of Debrecen and Odessa National University of Technology (ONTU) are involved in planning to cooperate in the field of offering online courses, designing joint research projects and promoting joint publications. Four staff members of one of the largest universities in Ukraine have recently visited the University of Debrecen, where they got acquainted with the activities carried out at the Faculty of Informatics and the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management, while discussing plans for further joint professional collaboration opportunities.
Issues such as the emergence of virtualization and cloud computing, as well as the role of artificial intelligence in networking, were discussed recently by experts at the innovation workshop hosted by Department of Information Systems and Networks of the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Debrecen. A group of students from the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Debrecen have recently took a trip to the capital city of the Czech Republic as part of Pannónia Ösztöndíjprogram [Pannonia Scholarship Programme]. New solutions for the automated classification of cervical cell images were developed by experts from some of the world's best universities at a scientific competition held in Houston by researchers from the University of Debrecen, Eötvös Loránd University and the University of Göttingen. By the end of what is called Pap-kenet Sejtosztályozási Kihívás [Pap Smear Cell Classification Challenge], as many as ten research teams completed their papers presenting their own solutions.

Students of the University of Debrecen's Faculty of Informatics (IK) who participated in courses sponsored by Microsoft and NVIDIA have gained state-of-the-art IT knowledge and competitive certification. Students from the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Debrecen and the Vishwakarma Institute of Computer Science in India attended the online courses, with more than 4,000 students participating in the joint work, which mainly focused on data science, artificial intelligence and deep learning.
The University of Debrecen students and researchers have provided the highest number of Fulbright scholars in Hungary - this announcement was made at the information session of the International Office of the University of Debrecen, presenting this year's applications of the world's most prestigious scholarship programme. Every year, Fulbright offers 25 Hungarian students, researchers and teachers the opportunity to work as academic researchers and gain professional experience in the United States of America.
