The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at the University of Debrecen welcomed its first-year international students with an outdoor picnic on Wednesday. The organizers of Welcome Day – Freshers’ Picnic sought to make sure that the participants should not only gain access to the curriculum required in order to obtain their degrees but they should also become acquainted with the faculty, Hungarian culture and customs, and the city of Debrecen in an informal setting.

The University of Debrecen and Ho Chi Minh City University of Law have agreed to initiate research collaborations, joint training programs and conferences, as well as student and faculty mobility opportunities. The second largest law school in Vietnam is intent to start the partnership activities as soon as possible.
Faculty of Economics and Business (Gazdaságtudományi Kar - GTK) and Faculty of Law (Állam- és Jogtudományi Kar - ÁJK) of the University of Debrecen have expanded the circle of their foreign partners with Indonesian institutions of higher education. The relevant cooperation agreements signed on Monday mainly cover education and research activities.
Topics such as why cryptocurrency regulations are necessary in Bosnia and Herzegovina and how police training takes place in the Republic of Serbia were featured among others to be discussed at the international meeting for law professors and legal practitioners held at the Faculty of Law of the University of Debrecen on Friday. In addition to the representatives of the hosting institution, some faculties of law from universities in neighboring countries also had a chance to present themselves at the event, the official language of which was English.
Lecturers from various countries, 97% of the graduates find a job in the sector, learning contents available through the internet for free, scholarship programmes, specializations, including the recently launched customer protection programme – apply to the Faculty of Law at UD!
Participants of the events of the academic day hosted by Faculty of Law of the University of Debrecen discussed topical issues of international law. The academic day, which comprised two conferences, also provided a chance to students to present their own research findings.
Topical legal issues were discussed at the international conference held jointly for the eighth time by Debreceni Egyetem Állam- és Jogtudományi Kar [Faculty of Law of the University of Debrecen] (DE ÁJK) and Kiev University of Law.
