The number of foreign students at the University of Debrecen has increased by five percent, while the number of foreign students studying at the University of Debrecen has increased by fifteen percent. In the 2024/2025 academic year, 2,100 students started their studies on UD's English-language courses, making the institution's international community larger than ever, with more than 7,600 students.

The University of Debrecen and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research have signed a cooperation agreement. The multidisciplinary international centre for basic research in nuclear physics and related science and technology invites researchers from Debrecen to participate in projects in its seven laboratories.

Hosted jointly by the University of Debrecen and EIT Health Innostars, a two-day innovation competition kept our institution vibrant on November 11 and 12. There were almost 150 students from 6 universities in 41 countries entering the 24-hour health-focused competition. The students were supported by renowned international mentors to develop their ideas.
