Two new, a medical and and ecological, „Lendület” research groups will be established at the UD, in addition to the ten that are already operating successfully. The 16 winning candidates were announced at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences to receive a total of 540 million HUF this year.

UD has decided that the University of Debrecen Science Impact Award will go to biochemist Arieh Warshel this year. The Nobel Prize laureate professor, who has been working with researchers at UD for years, will receive the award from rector Zoltán Szilvássy on Friday.
