On Saturday, Debrecen University held this year’s traditional doctoral and honorary doctoral ceremony . At the event, 91 doctoral candidates were awarded their diplomas; in addition, honorary doctorates, habilitated doctorates, professor emeritus titles and university honors were also awarded.

The travelling exhibition titled “Hungary’s 20 years of NATO membership” presenting the country’s role in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization arrived to the University of Debrecen.

The UniBike bike system has been expanded by new stations and 10 new bicycles. From now on, the system will be jointly operated by the University of Debrecen and the Debrecen Reformed Theological University.
Arieh Warshel, a worlwide-renowned biochemist, has been the first to win the University of Debrecen Science Impact Award (uDEsia) of UD. The Nobel Prize laureate researcher received the award from rector Zoltán Szilvássy on 29 March.
