A package of altogether 33 various events are going to be offered to those interested in visiting the Debrecen festival site of Campus Fesztivál Egyetem Tér [University Square, Campus Festival], which “returns” after skipping last year’s occasion.

An associate professor of the Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry of the University of Debrecen has won the Environmental Science Youth Award of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In her research, Edina Baranyai examined the potential of using old honeys as environmental reconstruction.
The top representatives of Hungarian pop music are going to be present at this summer’s Campus Fesztivál, which is going to be resurrected between July 21 and 25 after a short break last year due to the pandemic. One of the highlights of the series of events, is going to be Egyetem tér.
Faculty of Music of the UD will be hosting Young Musicians’ Summer Academy for the twentieth time this year. Applications for participation in the traditional music courses are expected to be submitted by students of high schools, colleges and universities as well as from young teachers of music.
Following a pilot phase, the website demedia.hu, launched at the beginning of 2021 by the radio station of the UD, FM90 Campus Rádió, is now available for the public in a “normal operation mode.” A significant portion of the current webpage content is with a focus on the university.
An exhibition of works by 39 artists from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts was opened on February 12 in Debrecen, in the shop window at Piac Street, as part of the Chinese Spring Festival. The exhibition was organized by the UD’s Confucius Institute, Tianjin Foreign Studies University and the city.
Over a hundred photos were entered in the competition organised by the Department of Cultural and Human Sciences of the Faculty of Humanities and the Event Coordination and Alumni Centre of UD. The winners received gift packages, and their photos will be exhibited.
Campus Festival will turn into Campus Eleven this year. Due to the epidemic, organisers decided that the 4-day-long festival will be replaced by a series of events over a period of 11 nights, called Campus Eleven. The events will take place at the usual venues.
This year again, the semester-opening show will be held to present everyone with fun and great experiences. The list of performers includes the Tankcsapda, the Bagossy Brothers Company and Republic. The event will take place at the Stadium on 16 September.
A huge series of concerts is planned for the end of August at Nagyerdő to restart life. Campus Eleven will await visitors hungry for some fun with concerts and other programmes through 11 days.
