Representatives of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management of the University of Debrecen and the Faculty of Medicinal and Industrial Plants of Kirkuk University in Iraq signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Thursday in order to develop and implement an exchange program for students and researchers, initiate professional cooperation and promote joint research projects.

Science and education cooperation opportunities were discussed at the University of Debrecen on Monday by Nebraska Secretary of State Robert Evnen. The meeting focused on joint research in agriculture and health sciences.
The topic of opening new areas of partnership between the University of Debrecen and a number of institutions of higher education in the state of Indiana, the United States of America, was in the focus of discussions between Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales and Rector Zoltán Szilvássy recently. “By the cooperation agreement between the University of Debrecen and South Dakota State University, a new era starts in the history of our institution”, said Zoltán Szilvássy, Rector of the University of Debrecen, upon signing the partnership agreement. In addition to the provost of South Dakota State University, the chargé d’affaires of the United States Embassy also attended the signing of the agreement on the establishment of a joint degree program on Thursday.
