Debreceni Nyári Egyetem [Debrecen Summer School] continues to offer its ever-popular semester courses on less widely used and taught languages (LWTL) this year. Signing up for these courses is possible until February 19, and teaching will start at the end of the same month.

The series of graduation ceremonies in the winter period has been started by the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management. The ceremonies are recorded by the Multimedia and E-learning Centre.

Tickets are already available for yoUDay, the unique and exclusive commencement and opening ceremony of the academic year at the University of Debrecen. . A crowd of as many as 25 thousand spectators would be expected to attend the event opening the 2018 fall semester on September 26, 2018.

A rich and versatile program of activities, the likes of which have never been seen before, was offered by the University of Debrecen at Campus Festival. There were also concerts, interesting talk shows, and stand-up comedians performing at the festival site called University Square.

More than ever before, about 1000 university students from Hungary and abroad entered into Campus Sports Festival. Students of 26 Hungarian and 17 foreign universities take part in the sports events organised at the University of Debrecen.

Adapting to the needs of the industry, the MSc training of the University of Debrecen in hydrobiology is available in dual form as of this year. The English language training that was launched last year is also popular.

The one-year project, in the framework of which students' furniture in the main building of the University of Debrecen is being renewed, is about halfway through the work. The university allocated 14 million HUF for the work.

Flavors of homemade delicacies and dance-house music was on the agenda at the welcoming party hosted by the University of Debrecen for the 130 international students in this semester. This year, the largest number amongst them came from Turkey, Poland, Germany, and Portugal.
