The director of the Venice office of the World Health Organisation also familiarised himself with the activities of the WHO Collaborating Centre during his visit at the Faculty of Public Health on 1 March.
Christoph Hamelmann, head of the WHO European Office on Investment for Health and Development, received an overview of the activities of the Social Vulnerability and Health WHO Collaborating Centre, operating in the framework of the Department of Preventive Medicine, and also held a discussion concerning the tasks for the near future.
The expert highly appreciated the results achieved so far by the Collaborating Centre, and initiated with the Roma Integration 2020 Regional Cooperation Council the extension of the activities concerned.
As a continuation of the joint efforts, he invited Professor Róza Ádány, head of the centre, to the next meeting of the centre, to be held on 20-21 March 2017, in Skopje.
