This time, there was a total of 299 candidates, including 156 full-time students and 143 part-time students, who passed their final exams and received their degrees at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Debrecen.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Géza Husi announced that these recent graduates had received state-of-the-art, practice-oriented training and earned their degrees from a faculty that has also been recognized with National Excellence Awards.
- As of today, your lives will change entirely, as you will become engineers out of students. As such, you will be entering a world of engineering and technology where the most recent knowledge, such as Industry 5.0 or cutting-edge architectural technologies, are changing and evolving very rapidly. While you will be able to use quite a lot of the knowledge you have gained at the University of Debrecen for a long time to come, it will also be worth paying special attention to the latest technologies in order to continue your education- said Géza Husi to the recent graduates.
At the same time, the dean of the faculty suggested that those completing their BSc programs should also consider pursuing an MSc at the Faculty of Engineering, because the undergraduate program familiarizes students only with today’s technology, while the master’s program enables graduates to invent the technology of the future.
- Without engineers, there will be no new cars, no new buses, no new clothing, no telecommunications, which means that engineering is in fact present in almost every aspect of our life- said the dean, who also wished a lot of professional success to the graduates.
After the students took their oaths and received their diplomas, five international students were awarded certificates of recognition from the President and Vice President of the Student Self-Government.
An Excellent Student of the University of Debrecen Award was presented to a master’s student in facilities engineering, Emese Béni.

A József Borsos Diploma Award, established by the Hajdú-Bihar County Chamber of Architects, was presented to Ádám Kovács, architectural engineer, and Balázs Fleischer, licensed architect, while the Antal Puhl Diploma Award was presented to licensed architect Gábor Máté.
