The University of Debrecen also presented itself in Florida

The event was attended by Károly Pető, Deputy Rector General, Péter Nagy, President of the GTIDEA Scientific and Social Advisory Board, and Zalán Bács, for the Institute for Sports Science Coordination.

Building on the synergy of professionalism and community unity in education, business, community, culture and sport, the HungarianHub, a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening US-Hungarian relations, offered opportunities for dialogue, exchange and partnership at its recent summit. The University of Debrecen also participated in the event to present its training portfolio, education, science and sports strategy and achievements in these areas.
- Innovative educational programmes, student exchange opportunities and opportunities to develop collaborative research projects between universities were discussed, highlighting the importance of educational links between the two nations. The meeting may also facilitate networking and career development opportunities, as well as the sharing of good practices and networking in the areas of sport and community building, which are important for the University of Debrecen, said Károly Pető, Vice-Rector General.

The panel discussions on the opportunities for academic networking between American and Hungarian universities included representatives from domestic and American universities (including the University of Central Florida, Stetson University, Robert Morris University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Daytona State College), as well as several professional organizations working on higher education issues.

The relations between the two countries are also of great importance in the field of higher education, with an exemplary tradition, shared achievements and dialogue-based collaborative activities. The presence of the University of Debrecen will further increase the visibility and influence of Hungarian scholarship in the United States," said Peter Nagy, President of the GTIDEA Scientific and Social Advisory Board.
The summit featured a business, education and community session with experts from Hungarian and US higher education institutions, including insights into the University of Central Florida's accelerator programme of nine incubator houses, the activities of the US Department of Defense, and the work of Florida economic development agencies and organisations.
