The university published its call for proposals for the 2025 edition of the Debrecen University Conference Series in February.
The aim of the Debrecen University Symposium series is to continuously enhance the scientific reputation of the university and the city.
- The symposium creates an opportunity to present the work and results of our research groups that have achieved outstanding professional results, thus entering the scientific circulation of the world, while at the same time the university's teachers, doctoral students and students can learn about the latest international results in the given field of science - László Csernoch told the hírek.unideb.hu portal following the decision.
UD's Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs emphasized that an important aspect in selecting the winners of the conference series, which has a history of more than a decade, is that each year a different discipline should showcase the scientific diversity of the university, thus enriching the institution's international professional relations.
- In the decision of the Academic Council, it was a key criterion that the theme of the conference should be related to one of the research focus areas and doctoral schools of the University of Debrecen, which are intensively cultivated in international scientific research, and that the event should be attended by the most prominent international and domestic scientists and scholars in the field," emphasised László Csernoch.
This year's conferences of the 12th Debrecen University Symposium will be held in August under the title 20th International Conference on Chiroptical Spectroscopy, with the participation of a Nobel Prize winner, at the Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Institute of Chemistry, and in September, the Faculty of Agriculture, Food Science and Environmental Management will organise Sustainable and Innovative Solutions in the Agricultural and Food Industry - SISAF.
