This weekend the summer series of graduation ceremonies will begin at the University of Debrecen. In the weeks to come, about 4,000 graduates will receive their degrees. The first ceremonies will be held on 17 June, Friday, at 10 am and at 13 am, when students of the Faculty of Economics and Business will graduate at the Cour d’Honneur of the Main Building.

Like in the previous years, faculties hold their graduation ceremonies in the Cour d’Honneur of the Main Building, even if their campuses are located somewhere else in the town or outside Debrecen. The only exception is the Faculty of Music, where graduates say farewell to the university with a concert at the Liszt Hall.

The highest number of students have completed their studies at the Faculty of Humanities and at the Faculty of Economics and Business (600 at each), but 420 students will receive their degrees at the ceremony of the Faculty of Engineering and 400 will cross the stage at the ceremony of the Faculty of Science and Technology.

During the ceremonies, the “baby room” will be open on the ground floor of the Main Building, where parents can take care of their babies’ needs in a comfortable environment with the assistance of employees of the  Mental Health Centre.

During the vents, parking will be free of charge at the Egyetem Square campus.

Families and friends who cannot attend the events can follow the ceremonies on the live YouTube channel of UD, operated by the Multimedia E-learning Technical Centre.
