The University of Debrecen occupies the 40th place in the list evaluating universities in the Eastern European and Central Asian region of the new QS World University Rankings. This time, the prestigious UK-based ranking organisation assessed 450 higher education institutions. Among other areas, UD has improved in the fields of international research network, employer reputation, and international student ratio.
The ranking was created on the basis of ten indicators (their proportions in the total score are indicated in brackets): academic reputation (30%), employer reputation (20%), faculty/student ratio (10%), number of publications (10%), international research network (10%), web influence (5%), number of researchers with PhD degree based on the Webometrics ranking (5%), number of citations (5%), international faculty ratio (2.5%), and international student ratio (2.5%).
The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings has also been published recently. In the international ranking of universities based on sustainability UD has moved from the 236th to 204th place, compared to last year.
