The team of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Debrecen performed excellently at the competition called Shell Eco-marathon Europe and, by moving a couple of places forward in comparison to its position last year, finished 29th in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Hunor, as the electric car developed at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Debrecen was named, is ready to compete in the Shell Eco-marathon energy efficiency challenge, in the prototype category.

Students and instructors at the Faculty of Engineering do not even get a chance to “let the steam off” these days, as they are working on preparing the alternative fuel vehicles of their own design to enter a domestic and the international Shell Eco-marathon Europe race to be held later in London.

The University of Debrecen has signed a cooperation framework agreement with Ganz Engineering és Energetikai Gépgyártó Kft [Ganz Engineering and Energy Production Machinery LLC]. The company proposed to hand over to the university unique estate of Láng Gépgyár [Láng Machine Factory].

A “Medallion of Excellence” was awarded at Europe’s largest skills competition to two of our students from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Debrecen, Dávid Balázs and Krisztián Zilahi.

Leading representatives of Shanghai Polytechnic University and the University of Debrecen signed an agreement on extending their cooperation in the fields of education, research, and culture in general on Monday.
