Yet another international star to come to Campus

As the organizers announced on Monday, the Kosovo-born pop star Rita Ora would also perform at the Campus Festival of Debrecen. The festival will be hosting the closing ceremony of the European University Games, organized jointly by the University of Debrecen and the University of Miskolc, while it will also be the central location for the nationwide Pont Ott Partik [roughly: high-school graduate parties for the public announcement of points required for university admission].

The names of international performers expected to come to this year's Campus Festival were first announced in February. The initial list of stars to show up in Debrecen contained Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Solveig, Mando Diao, Danko Jones, Gayle and Trinidadian reggae-dancehall singer Queen Omega. This line-up is now topped off by Rita Ora, who will headline the closing day of Campus. On the Main Stage, festival-goers can look forward to enjoying hits such as “Body On Me,” “I Will Never Let You Down,” “Anywhere” (which has 372 million views) and “Let You Love Me” (which has more than 550 million).

The pop diva who has consistently come up with hits has had the chance to co-author songs with Avicii. In addition, the names of Liam Payne and Chris Brown as well as big hits at Campus in recent years Tiësto and Robin Schulz, are also featured next to her most popular songs. She has been a mentor in the UK's Voice and X Factor, and it is also clear by now that she is a star of the screen as an actress.

As regards the Hungarian side, a whole host of Hungarian artists will be present at the Nagyerdő [Big Forest] venue this year. Azahriah, Majka, Tankcsapda, ByeAlex and Slepp, and Rúzsa Magdi are just a few of the hundreds of performers.

Between July 24 and 28, 2024, Debrecen will once again be the spot for a truly exciting festival. The closing ceremony of the European University Games, jointly organized and hosted by the University of Debrecen and the University of Miskolc, will be held on the opening day of Campus, right in the center of the festival premises. Speaking of universities, the higher education admission threshold figures will also be revealed to the general public on July 24, with Debrecen’s Campus Festival as the central venue for the nationwide Pont Ott Partik.
