Discussions between the University of Debrecen, the Clinical Centre and the management of BMW started last year on the possibilities of future cooperation, one of the main areas of which is the review of development guidelines related to patient care. Zoltán Szabó, President of the Clinical Centre, received the delegation of the company at the President's Office of the Kenézy Gyula Campus on Thursday. Following the meeting, the delegation members visited nine clinical departments on the Kenézy Gyula Campus and the Nagyerdei Campus on Thursday and Friday.
- BMW's healthcare leaders were given an insight into the operation of the Clinical Centre and were able to learn about our European-standard patient care activities, involving both conservative and surgical specialties. An important part of the visit was an overview of the emergency patient care system," Zoltán Szabó, President of the Clinical Centre sressed.
The delegation (Holger Kuegler, Franziska Hofmeier, Hajnalka Tamás) visited the Emergency Department, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, the Oncoradiology Department and the Department of Paediatrics, among others.
During the meetings Professor Zoltán Szabó stressed that the Clinical Centre of the University of Debrecen has greatly improved its patient information and communication system in English and German over the past two years, thus helping to provide information and guidance to foreign employees of companies operating in Debrecen, including BMW, who need care.
- We have made significant upgrades to provide patient information and communication in foreign languages. As part of this, patient information boards, information leaflets, signs and monitors in English and German have been added to the Hungarian language. In addition, it is important to highlight the launch of the Clinical Centre's website in English and German and the University of Debrecen has created an English-language phone application, Mediversity, which helps to quickly find the right buildings, specialised clinics and doctors. These developments will also help to orient and inform the employees of BMW's Debrecen plant," the President of the Clinical Centre stressed.
Members of the BMW delegation were also informed about future planned healthcare developments during their two-day visit to the Clinical Centre.
