As of the beginning of the spring semester, UD students have had access to the modern learning center, which also houses the new university gift shop, where items of clothing embellished with the logo of the university or its sports club, DEAC, as well as stationery products and souvenirs can be purchased on a floor space of about 100 square meters, the size of which is substantially larger than its former one.
Upon entering, potential customers first notice an impressive range of display cases containing samples of merchandise for sale, including scarves, caps and ties, complemented with t-shirts and sweaters of a variety of colors and designs lined up on hangers. As a matter of course, there is also a separate section comprising stationery items essential for study, such as notebooks, folders and pens, all bearing the official logo of the university. Medical students can also pick up t-shirts with the logo of their respective faculties now, and this initiative is expected to be extended to cover other faculties in the future on a steadily growing assortment of merchandise.
A recently introduced special offer from UD Gift Shop concerns white lab coats, which can be personalized and customized upon demand by displaying not only a choice logo but also the embroidered name and title of the person wearing them.
As regards those who are about to graduate soon, they can also find a huge selection of farewell gifts in the store, ranging from teddy bears wearing mortarboards to an impressive array of the different incarnations of the university mascot called eDE, the squirrel.
