An AI assistant is also available on yoUDay's revamped website

The biggest party of the 2025/2026 academic year is just around the corner, with the ninth stadium show promising to be more massive than any of the previous ones. Tickets for the biggest university party of the current year can be purchased via a brand new online interface. The new website features quite a few of surprises and a lot of useful information, with even artificial intelligence answering queries about yoUDay.

This stadium show, which is unique in Europe to mark the opening of the academic year, never fails to dazzle first-year students, the rest of the university “citizens” as well as the general public in Debrecen year after year. The organizers are preparing for the ninth occasion in an appropriate way, too, foreshadowing a yoUDay of top quality, rich spectacle and musical experience in 2025. This is more than just a show; it is the experience that connects the university community and the inhabitants of Debrecen.

Tickets for this year's show are already available now and can be purchased directly from the website of the gigantic school-opening party.

It is definitely worth visiting this website, which has undergone some significant changes. One of the most striking novel features is a countdown timer that appears when you enter the site, indicating down to the second when the biggest university party of the year will commence.

According to Gergő Török, the chief organizer of yoUDay, such a modern platform has been required for quite some time. Now that it is available, the organizers try to take advantage of all the opportunities offered by this technology, including the important services provided by artificial intelligence.

“The first site was created exactly nine years ago, when we started out, so it deserved getting modernized by now. We have tried to develop it in a way so that it should meet all the current state-of-the-art requirements. Thus, it has been made much faster and more informative than before. The interface is available both in English and in Hungarian, as we want to bring international students even closer to the event. One of the major changes to the site is that we have uploaded and made available all the after movies of yoUDay so far, and we will also be adding a full photo gallery of all the nine previous stadium shows. Keeping abreast of modern demands, artificial intelligence will also be added to the interface, with an AI assistant available to answer all potential questions about yoUDay, while even sending direct links. There is no telephone support, no registration; only online information. High school students as well as employees of different institutions will be able to buy tickets via the website,” said the organizer in response to the query from hirek.unideb.hu.

The AI assistant will pop up as soon as a visitor arrives at the website, in the form of a small yellow dialog box on the left-hand side of the screen.

Gergő Török has also revealed that, for the first time ever, the Freshers of the Year will be elected this year, with one male and one female student getting the chance to bear the title for a whole year, as well as the accompanying UniPass Gold card, which will allow them to attend university parties, freshman balls, DEAC matches and oDEon Theatre performances free of charge. Registration for the competition will open on the yoUDay website from the first day of the freshers' camp, which is August 25. The head organizer of the event also said that there would be more and more sponsors supporting the event, including BMW and Telekom as new sponsors this year.

The date for the 9th yoUDay is Wednesday, September 17, when the gates of Nagyerdei Stadium will open at 18:30. Further information about the stadium show is available on the event's Facebook page, in addition to the website.
