With its nearly 4,500 students the largest, and in terms of courses, GTK is the youngest and the most popular faculty of UD. The faculty offers bachelor and master programmes for would-be economists, agricultural engineers, sports managers, HR consultants and teachers of economics.
Applicants can choose from 7 bachelor programmes (business administration and management, commerce and marketing, international business, tourism and hospitality, sports and recreational event organisation, rural development agricultural engineering), and 11 master programmes (HR consultancy, supply chain management, marketing, master of business administration, international economy and business, business development, management and organisation, accounting, sports economics, rural development agricultural engineering, teacher of economics). - Every year the number of applicants for our courses is at least 4 times higher than the number of places available, while 90 percent of our students land a job within a year of completing their studies. Our lecturers greatly contribute to the success of our students. No wonder that in 2019 the GTK of UD topped the HVG ranking of economics faculties in terms of the proportion of lecturers with an academic degree – pointed out Dean Károly Pető.
This year, for the first time, the faculty announces degree programmes at the Szolnok campus of UD as well, and plans to start the highly popular rural development agricultural engineering bachelor course in Nyírbátor, too. In Kisvárda 2 bachelor programmes (rural development agricultural engineering and tourism and hospitality) and 2 advanced vocational programmes (tourism and hospitality, business administration and management) are already available.
Owing to the cooperation of the faculty with 34 partner companies, in the supply chain management, marketing, management and organisation, accounting, business development and the rural development agricultural engineering programmes dual education is also available for students.
Several times a year students can obtain language proficiency certificates. As a language examination centre, the Faculty of Economics and Business organises the Kitex, Zöldút, BGE and GazdálKODÓ language exams that include professional terminology, and the TársalKODÓ language exam.
At its Böszörményi út campus, GTK awaits students with excellent infrastructural background (modern auditoriums, seminar rooms and smart rooms), refurbished and newly built sports facilities (grass and artificial grass football pitches, cinder athletics track, strength training park, indoor tennis courts), and a modernised dormitory.
