The University of Debrecen has received a plaque award for cooperation at the Chinese (Fujian)-Hungarin Economic and Trade Conference. The plaque says that UD cooperates with the Cinese Fujian Chuanzheng Communications College.

The province situated in the south-east of China, the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, was presented to those interested at the Chinese (Fujian)-Hungarian Economic and Trade Conference. Fujian province is one of the most dynamically growing, competitive provinces of China, with its main business indicators exceeding national values. With a GDP growth of 8.3% it is the first among Chinese provinces.

The University of Debrecen was the first among Hungarian universities to join the One Belt, One Road intitative . In June , UD signed a strategic agreement with the Chinese Morgan Star Group about increasing the number of Chinese students studying in Debrecen, teaching,  and economic development. This cooperation between Fujian Chuanzheng Communications College and the University of Debrecen has joined previous agreements.


The University of Debrecen and Fujian, one of the most dynamically developing part of China are planning cooperation in the fields of biotechnology, medicine, electronics, engineering, the vehicle industry, and related teaching and reserch areas.
