Cooperation: Mobility, Research

Identifying shared research areas at the international exchange of experiences, as well as the international mobility of students and faculty members were also topics at the meeting of the CARPE Steering Committee, recently held at the University of Debrecen.

The University of Debrecen joined the international consortium CARPE (Consortium for Applied Research and Professional Education), members of which include the leading European universities of applied sciences (Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Valencia Polytechnic University, Manchester Metropolitan University, Turku University of Applied Sciences, University of Applied Sciences Utrecht).

The aim of the cooperation is to establish an international network that would create opportunities for the international exchange of experiences, launching joint research and educational programmes, as well as facilitate the mobility of students and faculty members between the institutions,” László Csernoch, vice rector for scientific affairs of the University of Debrecen hosting the meeting, told the unideb.hu portal.

The Steering Committee of the consortium held its annual meeting at the University of Debrecen on 10-11 November. The topics of the meeting included discussions on the consortium’s applications for Horizon 2020 grants, strengthening student exchange programmes, as well as preparing the CARPE conference to be held in Hamburg in November 2017.
